A Day At Titiwangsa

Last Saturday, I went to Titiwangsa with Nazriks, Kak Sara, Arman and Cuyen to do my FYP survey. Before we went to Titiwangsa, me and nazriks had breakfast at Kak Lina's house and after a short chit chat, we grabbed all our caps (me and naz lent kak lina's colourful caps) and begin our journey to Titiwangsa. After we got stucked in a long traffic jam at Seri Kembangan area, we reached Taman Rekreasi Berkuda Titiwangsa around 11.30am. Since the morning horse ride session was between 9am - 12pm, we decided to come back later on afternoon session which was around 3pm - 6pm.

We all went to Restoran Haslam located at Jalan Pahang to have our lunch. After that we went to Taman Melawati to buy pens as a gift for my survey participants. Then we head back to Titiwangsa. Kak Sara helped me a lot during that day. She even disguised as a MMU student to help me out distributing the surveys while Armarn, Cuyen and Nazriks went for a short horse riding. Cuyen who was supposed to be my model for my research took the role as a photographer since he had a small accident that took away some of his "hawtness"(sorry Cuyen :P). It was a fun day even though there are some incidents that I won't forget while doing my surveys there.

Case 1
I saw Kak Sara was talking to this two ladies and as I was about to go near to them, Kak Sara whispered "They want RM40 each person for the survey".. I was like.. huh? And then, I approach towards them, introduced myself nicely and told them my intention of doing the surveys for and I told them I can't afford to pay RM40 for them to answer my survey. I can only give them a colourful Stabilo pen for free. The lady with the fake blonde hair said that she had experience riding horses at oversea which that wasn't my main focus doing the surveys. My main target are to those who went to Titiwangsa and pay small amount of fees to have a joyful horse riding experience. And guess what, after I explained everything to them, they just ignored me and watched other people ride ponies. How ignorant. The other lady who went to ride the pony even screamed coz she can't even mount on the pony by herself. Me and Kak Sara just back off coz we don't want to waste our time entertaining such people and we continue surveying other people who are more friendly and easy to cooperate. To my surprise, I noticed the fake blonde lady keep walking near to us as if she wanted us to survey them. Sorry ladies, I don't have RM80 to pay you.

Why don't you go to more exclusive places but then, I doubt if there's anyone or any company who would pay you RM40 just to answer a survey.... I know giving out a pen is very cheap but hey, I still have the courtesy to reward my target audience coz I know most people love free stuff and I appreciate their participation with a small gift that I can afford to give.

Case 2

Imagine a middle age man wearing a black polo shirt, wearing riding boots, helmets, gloves and a whip in a public recreational horse riding park in Titiwangsa. Doesn't sound quite right, right? When we saw this man with such attire, we're wondering if he was planning to go for a polo match or something. I don't know if he want's to show off his equipments but then, this place is not a royal equestrian club. It's a public recreational horse riding park owned by DBKL.

Enough of ranting, let the pictures tell the story.

Many faces of us!
